Peppermint is one of my favorite essential oils!  I thought I'd write a blog post about it since it's the oil of the month at Spark Naturals!

Some tips about the Oil of the Month Club:
A 15 ml Peppermint Essential Oil at Spark Naturals is $18.45.  Each order you place is charged a $6.49 shipping fee unless your order is over $99.00.

Here are some ways that we use Peppermint essential oil:
We use peppermint at the first sign of tummy issues.  Here's a previous post about a blend that we keep handy→TummyEase.

Have you heard that peppermint will help keep spiders away?  It will!! We add it to a spray bottle with witch hazel.→Spider Ban

We use peppermint when we are struggling to keep focus or if having a rough start to the morning due to sleepy minds or just fogginess as we start school.

We put 3 drops peppermint essential oil and
3 drops wild orange essential oil
in the diffuser.

We use peppermint at the first sign of a headache.  Here's a post about another blend that we always keep handy→Headache Cease

One of our most used EO (essential oil) blends is a salve that I make called Cold & Cough Chest Salve.  It contains peppermint along with a few other EO's. →Cold and Cough Chest Salve

We use peppermint if feeling queasy, have nausea, motion sickness or dizziness...especially in the car.  Try our Motion Potion blend.

Peppermint is a great essential oil to have handy at home or in your vehicle...

Headache Cease--Updated 2014

Do you deal with frequent or occasional headaches?  We do.  We've experimented with several EO's to help alleviate the pain and have come up with a blend that's been helping quite a bit!

Headache Cease
Fractionated Coconut Oil
1/3 oz. roller bottle

Put drops in the bottle in order listed and then fill with the fractionated coconut oil.

Make up a blend to try today!  Here's hoping and praying it works for you, too.  These oils can all be purchased through Spark Naturals.  Use code "sonshine" for a 10% discount.

This blend can be purchased from Sonshine Botanicals via paypal if you don't have all the oils and you'd like to give it a try.

This blend was originally posted with Birch Essential Oil added to it.  I am currently doing some research on essential oils and until I have more info., I've decided to take the Birch out of this blend.

Easy-Peasy Peach Cobbler

Do you have a church potluck coming up?  Do you need a quick dessert for dinner tonight?  Try this:

Easy-Peasy Peach Cobbler
9x13 pan
2 sticks butter, melted
2 cups self-rising flour
2 cups sugar
2 heaping T. cinnamon
4 cups or 2 cans peaches

These ingredients can be halved for an 8 x 8 pan.

Melt butter and pour in 9x13 pan
Mix flour, sugar, cinnamon in a bowl.  Add enough water to give consistency of cake batter.
Pour in pan
Pour peaches in on top
Sprinkle top with cinnamon sugar (optional)

Bake at 400 for about 30 minutes or until no longer jiggly.
