My daughter, Hannah has a terrible sweaty foot problem which leads to...you guessed it...really foul, putrid, rank, smelly feet--oh my!
We have found the most wonderful of solutions! We put
But seriously, it is working and the rest of us don't have heavenly smelling feet, either. So, we're all trying it. It works especially well for crocs!
My soon to be 2 yr. old, Judah wears his Crocs 24/7. I'm not kidding...he really does sleep in them! If one comes off in the night, he will wake up crying and desperately trying to find it. Go figure! I can't keep shoes on the rest of us and then I birth a child who won't be without them! He even cries to change a diaper because he knows he will have to remove the crocs!
Here is the recipe I use:
Stinky Feet No More
top off with witch hazel
You need to shake this each time you use it.
This recipe is for a 2 oz. spray bottle. We were having trouble with the mist sprayer, so switched to this bottle with the trigger sprayer and it's working much better. It just happened to be a 4 oz. The baking soda tends to clog the sprayer and the blend works just as well without it.
These are the oils included in ReFresh:
6 drops Cilantro essential oil
8 drops Citronella essential oil
20 drops Lemon essential oil
31 drops White Fir essential oil
13 drops Lime essential oil
7 drops Melaleuca essential oil
Please comment below and share what you do for stinky feet.

ReplyDeleteThis is great. Spray in shoes or on feet?
ReplyDeleteWe do both some of the time, but mostly we wash our feet and put on clean socks and just spray in the shoes.

ReplyDeleteAt night spray your shoes with Lysol next place them in a plastic bag, put that bag in the freezer. In the morning they will not stink because you will have killed the bacteria that makes them stink. I do it all the time.
ReplyDeleteThank you Heather for such an easy idea, however due to the toxins found in lysol we do not use it. That's why we mainly are using essential oils. If you aren't aware of these toxins just google health hazards in lysol. You don't want it to be absorbed into your skin or to breathe it.

Thank you for the feature! How exciting!
ReplyDeleteWhere do you get your essential oils? I have seen many blogs that use them and personally never having used them I wonder where you get them. Thanks!

ReplyDeleteThanks a lot for this report. I will try this!!
ReplyDeleteNow I'm using special cedarsoles to get rid of stinky feet. It's because of their menthol-like aroma and you just have to wear them inside your shoes. No daily applying.
thanks for the great recipe. I also want to commend you on leaving such a positive response when others ask you about EO. Usually you get attacks if you use an EO that they do not feel is the best one. Thanks again
ReplyDeleteHi Norma...thanks for stopping by! I appreciate your comment.

ReplyDeleteSo you just put the oils no water?
ReplyDeleteWhere do you find the glass spray bottles?
Queen April,
ReplyDeleteHi there! You make the concentrate blend of ReFresh with the oils and then to make the "Stinky Feet No More", you add the drops of ReFresh to the bottle and top off with witch hazel.
Spray bottles can be purchased here:
http://sparknaturals.com/index.php/accessories/1oz-blue-glass-with-sprayer.html/?id=22
and if use code "sonshine" you'll get 10% complete order! Thanks for stopping by!
so you can't actually buy the refresh blend. correct?
ReplyDeleteChrissy, yes you can purchase the ReFresh blend on my site...but that's the only place it's available to purchase since I came up with the blend myself. However, you can purchase each of the oils and make it yourself. Try Spark Naturals for each one and use code "sonshine" for a 10% discount or look here→http://sonshineinthewildwood.blogspot.com/p/blog-page_30.html
