He is LIGHT and LIFE and TRUTH! Look to Him for the ALL the answers. He will guide us, if we'll let Him.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

Locks of Love.....

Hannah decided that she no longer wanted to mess with her long hair. It's too much trouble to keep it clean and comb all the tangles out!

So, today we went to Great Clips in Murfreesboro and 'Kimmie' cut Hannah's hair off in a ponytail (10 in.) so that she could send it to Locks of Love. They will use Hannah's hair to make a wig for a little girl who doesn't have any hair. Hannah was really excited to be able to give some of her hair to help someone else.

Here are some pictures to show you......oh, and another special part about it was that Hannah's haircut was free! Doesn't her hair just look darling? She really likes it.

Homeschool Co-op

Hannah, Caleb and I joined a homeschool co-op this year. We've had a lot of fun, learned a lot and made some special friends! Tuesday night was Achievement Night for the end of our first semester. Hannah was in the Musical class and they put on a little play about Fall and being thankful. It was very cute and the kids did a great job! This is a picture of Hannah before she went "on-stage". She was an indian in one part of the performance also. I left my camera at home (dismay!), so this picture was taken by Deanna (thank you!). You can't really tell, but Hannah's hair is in two braids.

Hannah's lines in the Musical:

"And I see geese flying south in long V's across the sky."

"If I were a turkey and it was November, I'd be very, very nervous."

Homeschooling with Daddy

Hannah and her daddy were having an art lesson this morning. I just could not help but capture it on film or....umm.....what do you call it now? Anyway...I took a picture!

Dakota--College Boy

This young man hides when we get the camera out so.... he pretty much stays in hiding these days!! :0)
We need some updated pictures of him. But, this is all I've got--it's a couple years old. I'll sic my sister and her camera on him again, soon. She's the only one who can make him cooperate. Isn't Dakota a handsome fella?

Breathtaking!

We got to enjoy a special day at Cheekwood with some dear friends last Saturday! It was a perfect day! God's creation is beautiful! How could anyone say there is no God, when all around creation calls?!!

Caleb--my rough and tumble, all boy--BOY!

He found a great place to play. Now....if we could just find a way to keep him in there. LOL! He's too cute for his own good.

Hannah's 6th Birthday

I cannot believe that Hannah is 6 years old. Where does the time go? She acts so grown up. We measured her last night and she's grown an inch and a half since August! Wow!

We took this picture on her birthday!

We made this elephant Pinata for Hannah's party. She was a great help in making this and we had a lot of fun together. Nanny Boo Boo put in some time on this, too. Thank you!

"Ella Phant" turned out so cute! The party was a hit (pun intended :0) he, he!) as the kids demolished our beautiful work of art.

This Time of Year....

I love this time of the year. When the weather starts turning cooler and then colder and we start up the big wood stove for the first time and the house gets that cozy warm feeling. I love the colorful trees and the leaves that cover the ground in a plethora of colors. It never ceases to amaze me at the beauty that God created for us to enjoy! I love it as we go into the holiday season....preparing our homes and hearts to celebrate what we are thankful for as we are reminded again and again how blessed we are. I love contemplating Mary as she prepared for the birth of our Savior. Did she really know who He would be?? I think her spirit was at peace with it all, but I'm sure like the rest of us she had her doubts and fears.
It was a precious time for me 2 years ago as I walked her path--definitely not in the same way at all....but, I was expecting a child and he was born at Christmastime. I did a lot of thinking and praying during that time and felt some kinship with Mary. It's a precious time of year! Can we ever express our gratitude to God for all that He does for us?

One of My Favorite Scriptures....

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
