He is LIGHT and LIFE and TRUTH! Look to Him for the ALL the answers. He will guide us, if we'll let Him.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

Dakota's 18th Birthday!

Dakota turned 18 last Thursday. It's hard to believe. It was difficult to pin him down just to celebrate a little with him. We had cookies and ice cream with him at about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday night after the first showing of The Judgment at church. Then, we had dinner with Nanny Boo Boo and Poppie on Thursday evening and he ate and ran out the door to The Judgment recording. So, it was a whirlwind birthday celebration for him. We're hoping to take him to dinner and a movie some night soon.......

Hannah & Caleb made him some special cards.....

Peaceful Sleep

Aren't they cute? We've had some crazy days lately and we're all VERY tired. They look so snug and cozy. Don't miss Mercy, our new kitty. She's also snuggled up with them.

What sweet pics of my babies :0)

Hannah's Special Birthday Surprise!

We got Hannah a kitty for her birthday. She is an indoor cat--only! Daddy says that she will never go outside. So....we're working hard to make sure that Caleb shuts the door now when he comes inside! :0)

Hannah decided to name her Mercy. We were in the van on the way to get her and Hannah told me that instead of Maya (which is what she'd previously decided to name her) she felt like she had to name her Mercy because she just couldn't get the song "Waves of Mercy, Waves of Grace" out of her head. So precious! We love the name and this kitty has just adapted well to our home. She's not tried to hide even one time. She just seems to fit right in. David and I were gone for about 2 hours today and Dakota stayed with Hannah and Caleb. When we got home, Hannah and Caleb were playing outside and when I got to the kitchen and started putting my purse on the table....Mercy came running and her little tail was like wagging and she just sat at my foot looking up at me and meowing!! How sweet! She loves us, yep she does!!

Hannah's having a hard time with the claw-thing. Mercy has gotten her a few times. We keep explaining that Mercy doesn't realize that she's hurting her. Hopefully, Hannah will learn and not be so offended when she does get scratched in the future!

Please pray for me....I'm sneezing and my nose has run a few gallons of snot this evening. Could it be the kitty? Please, no. I'm going to have to be more careful when I handle her.

Hannah's 7th Birthday

Hannah had a fabulous day for her birthday! Everyone was very thoughtful and worked hard to help her have a special day. (She was very upset that her daddy was going to be out of town for her birthday). She got to talk to Daddy first thing in the morning and right before bed--that made her very happy :0).

Nanny Boo Boo and Poppie showed up early to sing to her and bring her some gifts. They surprised Caleb with a gift, too. She was excited to start her day this way.

All Things Glitter--how fun!
They gave her this sweet blanket and pillow--she's snuggled up in it for her online class.

This is the tool belt and tools they brought for Caleb.
He's loving having tools like Daddy!

Mrs. Sandy and Mackenzie came up to do school with her and brought her a bag full of gifts. Mackenzie made her some special cards, too.

This says "I love U Hannah G. U make me happy. (So sweet!)

Precious friends!

The Rhodes' family--Loretta, Seth, Erin, Micah, and Zachariah (otherwise known as Ridah) called and sang her a whacky, birthday song. She loved it! Then, they showed up halfway through our school day bearing gifts. I forgot to get the camera out....:0(.
Oh, we'll have fun with this!
The balloons were a great hit--Thanks Rhodes' Family! (we took them to church to put on the chair she sat in during class)

Then she got mail! Now that was exciting. A card and $10.00 from Mima & Papaw. A card and $7.00 from A. Ellen and a card and some stickers from her Sunday School teacher, Jessica. A sweet card from Pastor Gwen & Mrs. Cindy from church.
Pastor Gwen & Mrs. Cindy sent the birdy one. Mima & Papaw sent the one with the $10 peeking out.

This was from A. Ellen

From Miss Jessica

A. DeDe, Avery and Landon called and sang to her and they sent her a gift card for a Build-A-Bear. She's saving all the other money she got to put with that when we go to make her bear. She can't wait!!

We made cupcakes and took them to her Prims class at church last night. They sang to her and Mrs. Valerie (her teacher) gave her a ZING Ball.

Yes, Hannah did all the decorating.

We just got messages this morning on the phone from Mima & Papaw and her friend, Abigail. They called to say "happy birthday" and we were not here. Bummer! But, it sure made her smile this morning!!

We went to the park for supper. She and Caleb played while I got supper ready. She wanted a sub sandwich, so we bought one at WalMart and some sour cream and onion chips--her favorite. We ate on a bench at the park.

All in all it was a very special day for her. Thanks to all of you who went the extra mile to make it so special. I can't believe my baby is 7!!! Wow!

I'm knitting her a hat--it's not finished, yet. And.......she has a special surprise coming from her Daddy and me.....hopefully we'll have it soon and I'll post pics!

Teepees

We've been studying the North American Indians and the girls made some teepees. They had a great time making these. Especially the part about going outside to find sticks!

Hannah & Caleb

We went to the Library last Friday. There is a water fountain out front and they just had to go see it (translated to....'play in the water')!!

These pics reminded me of those old time picture machines at fairs that you'd get in and sit down and they'd take your picture really fast and you'd try to pose differently each time. Caleb got the memo to change his expressions....Hannah, either didn't get the memo, or she just froze up before the lights of the camera! hehehe! :0)
